How to Use & Care
How to Use:
Install three AA batteries in each lantern according to the battery-compartment polarity markings. Use the standard ON setting for continuous illumination or activate the timer mode for an automatic cycle of approximately 6 hours on followed by 18 hours off. Place each lantern on a stable surface or in another secure decorative location. When using outdoors, protect the battery compartment and electrical components from standing water or prolonged direct exposure to heavy precipitation because no specific weather-resistance rating is provided.
How to Care:
Switch the lantern off before cleaning or replacing batteries. Dust the steel exterior with a soft, dry cloth and use a lightly damp cloth when additional cleaning is needed, drying the surface promptly afterward. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh chemical cleaners that could damage the powder-coated and hand-painted finish. Keep the battery compartment clean and dry. Remove batteries before extended storage to reduce the risk of leakage and corrosion, and do not mix old and new batteries or different battery types. Periodically inspect the battery compartment, wiring, and bulb area for corrosion, loose components, or other damage before use.
How to Dispose:
Continue using the lanterns for as long as they remain safe and functional. Remove all AA batteries before end-of-life disposal and handle the batteries separately according to local battery recycling or household waste requirements. Because each lantern combines steel, electrical wiring, LED components, and other materials, do not automatically place the complete product in curbside recycling. Where available, direct the lanterns to an electronics or e-waste collection program, or separate recyclable metal components only when this can be done safely and is accepted by the local recycling program.
