How to Use & Care
How to Use:
Fill the watering can with the amount of water needed for your plants and use the elongated spout to direct water toward the soil around the base of each plant. Empty any remaining water after use rather than storing the watering can continuously filled.
How to Care:
Rinse the interior periodically with clean water to help prevent mineral or organic residue from accumulating. Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry or lightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive scrubbers, harsh chemical cleaners, prolonged soaking, and exposure to excessive heat that could damage the bioplastic and wood-fiber construction. Allow the watering can to drain and dry between uses, and store it away from extreme temperatures when possible.
How to Dispose:
Continue using or repurpose the watering can for as long as it remains functional. The manufacturer describes the 60% corn-based bioplastic and 40% recycled wood-fiber material as biodegradable; however, biodegradable does not necessarily mean suitable for home composting or municipal compost collection. Do not place the watering can in compost or curbside recycling unless your local program specifically accepts this type of composite bioplastic material. At end of life, follow local waste-management guidance for bioplastic products.
