For many years I used deodorant that is also antiperspirant. But when my eyes were finally opened to what plastics are doing to our planet and to everyone on it (e.g., microplastics/nanoplastics in air, food, water, increasingly concentrated in brains and other body parts, potentially linked to dementia and a host of other diseases), I have been doing everything I can to shed plastic products and packaging from my life. Nobody makes a deodorant/antiperspirant that is sold in plastic-free packaging which forced me to switch to a deodorant-only product. There are many deodorants sold without plastic packaging. I chose this one sold by Plantish because not only is there no plastic packaging, there is no packaging at all. I am so thankful to have the option to buy a package-free product. I am pleased to say I do like the product. I store it in a glass dish with a lid to keep it from drying out. I leave a piece of paper towel wrapped around it so I have something to grab and hold to avoid transferring deodorant to my fingers. Because I keep my house temperature so low in the winter, I found that I have to breathe on the top of the bar a few times to make it spreadable, but it's no problem. And it does the job as far as odor protection. I did a side-by-side test against another deodorant that is sold in a cardboard tube. That product has a scent that I found a bit strong. I like that this Plantish bar has no scent and, again, can't say enough about liking the zero packaging.
My 10 yr old stole mine so I'll be back for more dinner than later!!!
